Ashley graduated with her B.A. in Choral Music Education with a Concentration in Voice from the University of Delaware, studying under Dr. Paul Head, Dr. Duane Cottrell, Dr. Blake Smith and Dr. Suzanne Burton.  She spent her undergraduate years performing in a variety of different capacities spanning from UD Opera Theater to the internationally acclaimed UD Chorale.  During her time in Chorale the ensemble recorded a Christmas Album, "Carols by Candlelight", performed "Carmina Burana" with the Delaware Symphony Orchestra, embarked on a National tour and had the honor of performing as a selected ensemble for the American Choral Director's Association Convention in Boston.

While at Delaware, Ashley stayed active in the contemporary a cappella world as a four year member of UD’s premiere a cappella group, Vocal Point, serving as Assistant Performance Director in 2014 and Performance Director in 2015.  Spending four years in the group, she helped lead Vocal Point to secure several Wildcard, Quarterfinal and Semifinal victories as well as placing Third at the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella finals in 2014.  During her tenure Vocal Point recorded two studio albums, "Momentum" and "Phoenix" with several tracks being featured on the Best of Collegiate A Cappella and Voices Only compilation albums.
